Book Cover Pricing
I wasn't sure where to put this, I thought that most would view this page. So here it is... Before contacting me, or any other artist for that matter, take a good look at their portfolio. If you have a nice quantity and range to view you can get a good idea as to the style of the artist. BEFORE you commission me, or any other artist for that matter, make sure that their style matches what you envision for your book cover. For example, my style works very well with fantasy and science fiction book covers. While I have done romance and horror, I don't believe that these are my best covers. It's something that I need to work on. Now I may have talked you out of hiring me, which may seem stupid, but I would rather prevent a problem from the beginning. HOWEVER, if you still want to hire me I'd be willing to discuss the possibilities with you even if you aren't a Fantasy or Science Fiction author. Emails are free, and I'll tell you right off if I can help you. NEW - VIDEO TRAILER/SLIDE SHOW with music and/or voice over. Something which seems to be catching on for self-promotion is the use of short (1-5 minute) video slide show that feature images and text with music in the background. I would be happy to create such a slide show for you based on graphics that I create, or images that you supply. All our music is created in house and require no royalty payments to the musician. All files are sent via Email Attachment once complete. If you require a CDROM backup I can provide one for an additional cost of $10.00 USD to cover the cost of the CD and Postage. I will also post your Video Trailer on YouTube.com at no additional cost. Once you decide to have a video trailer commissioned, we will then discuss your ideas via an email exchange. Based on what was decided I will present you will a total cost and invoice, upon payment production will begin. BANNER ART Banners are based on your current cover, therefore you must be able to provide the appropriate art in JPEG or TIF format. (other formats can be used, please inquire). Price $20.00 USD
COVER ART AND GENERAL GRAPHICS Below are suggested packages that have become very common. Each situation is different however, and it is better to contact me first indicating what you are looking for in a cover. In this way I can determine if I can give you what you want and what the final cost will be to you. Once the total cost is determined and an invoice presented, payment in full must be made before work on your cover can be started. Any changes required after the initial presentation and invoice will be charged at our hourly rate of $30.00 USD.
